Who We Are
Jeff Coleman founded 1B Machines in early 2022 to start exploring how to help scale residential electrification in the U.S.
Prior to that, Jeff developed, designed, and led the marketing, outreach, and education efforts for the biggest climate equity incentive programs in the U.S. as Vice President of Outreach at GRID Alternatives. From residential rooftop solar to EV chargers and heat pumps, Jeff has a broad and deep understanding of the challenges of implementing incentive programs at scale, reaching communities with the greatest barriers to adoption, and collaborating across a vast and often messy stakeholder landscape when time is of the essence.
We believe that the climate crisis calls us to figure out how to center equity and move quickly. We don’t have the luxury of being able to choose one or the other.
